Energy bars

Preparation: 15 minutes | Cooking time: 20 to 22 minutes | Servings: 10 bars

 

 

Ingredients:

1/3 cup (85 ml) almond butter

1/3 cup (85 ml) organic applesauce, unsweetened

1/4 cup (65 ml) camelina honey Signé Caméline

1/4 cup (65 ml) maple syrup

1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract

3 eggs

15 dates (100 g), pitted and chopped

2/3 cup (170 ml) oatmeal

1 cup (250 ml) corn flakes, crumbled

1 teaspoon (5 ml) ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon (5 ml) baking powder

2 tbsp (30 ml) of plain camelina seeds Signé Caméline

 

 

Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

2. Combine all the liquid ingredients in a bowl (almond butter, applesauce, honey, maple syrup, vanilla extract and eggs) and mix well using a whisk. Add the chopped dates to the mixture, then set aside.

3. In a second bowl, gather and mix well all the dry ingredients (oats, crumbled cereals, cinnamon, baking powder and camelina seeds).

4. Add the contents of the first bowl and mix again.

5. Pour the mixture into an 8-inch (20 cm) square pan or a 9 x 5-inch (23 x 13 cm) loaf pan. Line with parchment paper. Level the surface of the mixture well using a spoon.

6. Cook for 20 to 22 minutes, then let cool for 5 minutes.

7. Cut into 10 bars and enjoy for lunch or as a snack. Serve with Greek yogurt, a glass of milk or a soy drink.
